Conducted by one of the Centre's experienced falconers, our "APPRECIATING BIRDS OF PREY" activity day presents the hands-on opportunity to discover the many aspects of keeping and flying Birds of Prey which have made the pastime a life-long passion for so many.

As a primary step for all Falconers, the course gives an initial insight into many aspects of keeping Birds of Prey, including


Activity Courses are suitable for ages 16 and over and are approved & recommended by The British Falconers Club.. The price per person including lunch is £90.

Our popular "INTRODUCTION TO HAWKS" half-day activity course provides a great summer-time opportunity to experience the thrill of having a bird of prey fly to your wrist and be able to study these beautiful raptors at first hand. The course will also give you the chance to find out everything you always wanted to know about Hawks, their care & conservation.... but never had the opportunity to ask! Course places are limited (we advise early booking) and run from April to September, price £75 including lunch.

Spend half a day in the close company of our Harris Hawks on one of our "HAWK WALKS", when you will enjoy the thrill of having one of these spectacular birds fly to you wrist as well as working with our falconers through a brief introduction to the bird of prey experience. Price £75
